Eating out (В кафе)

Цілі уроку:

1. Освітня – забезпечити використання активної лексики  з теми «Їжа» у рамках навчальної ситуації «В кафе»; познайомити учнів зі структурою would like та навчити використовувати її у заданій ситуації.

2. Виховна – сприяти формуванню комунікативних навичок школярів.

3. Розвиваюча – сприяти розвитку у учнів мовленнєвих навичок, уваги, різних процесів (виділення основного, співвідношення зорового образу предмету з його лексичним значенням).

Обладнання: Малюнок на листі ватману літнього кафе, малюнок з зображенням тарілки, вирізані з паперу червоні, зелені та коричневі яблука, малюнки: пирожного, печива, лимонаду, мінеральної води, соку, кока-коли, морозива, шоколаду, чупа-чупсу, пудінгу, йогурту, солодощів, тістечка, різні фрукти, роздатковий матеріал (завдання 1-8), сервіровочний столик.

I. The beginning of the lesson.

T: Good morning, smiling faces. How are you? Well?! I hope we'll have a wonderful time together. Let's begin our lesson and first the phonetic drill:

II. Phonetic drill (на доске записана пословица: The appetite comes with eating.)

T: 1) Children, read the proverb and try to give Russian equivalent.

2) Say after me (відпрацьовується вимова).

3) Try to learn the proverb (діти хором читають прислів'я, з кожним новим повторенням вчитель витирає по одному слову, доки прислів'я не щезне).

4) Remember the proverb (кілка учнів вимовляють прислів'я).

T: Well done. [2min.]

III. Homework

T: Let's check up your home task (один учень відповідає біля дошки, два дають свої зошити на перевірку вчителю, а інші – взаємоперевірка). Good of you and now the topic of our lesson.

IV. Introducing into the topic.

Т: Today we’ll talk about food. And the topic of the lesson is eating out (вчитель показує на дошку, дає переклад). Children, answer some questions:

Do people usually eat at home?
Can people eat in a restaurant?
Can they eat in Mс Donald’s?
Can they eat in a pub?

And now look at the blackboard, please. There is a tasty crossword on it. If you do it right, you'll know where you are going today.

1. It's green and you have it in salad (cucumber).

2. Monkeys like the yellow fruit (banana).

3. Apples, bananas, plums are ... (fruit).

4. It's a drink. In Russia people usually drink it hot, but in some countries people drink it cold (tea).

Написавши вірно слова по горизонталі, по вертикалі з'являться слово cafe.

Well, children. It's the place where we are going today.

Вчитель закриває дошку і указує на зображення літнього кафе .

We are going to a summer cafe. [5 min.]

V. Revision words on the topic.

Т: But before going to the cafe we must refresh some words on the topic "Food".

1. Say after me (показує малюнки: тістечко, печиво, лимонад, мінеральна вода, сік, кока-кола, морозиво, шоколад, чупа-чупс, пудінг, йогурт, солодощі, булочка, різні фрукти ).

2. What is the English for сок, мороженое и т.д? (Робота по картинках).

3. Get into your pairs; wordlists are on your desks (перелік слів на українській мові, діти перевіряют слова один у одного, завдання 1).

4. Now a ballgame (перевірка слів за допомогою гри у м'яч, вчитель називає слово українською, діти - англійською ).

5. Now work in groups. Each group has its own task. The first group must find five things we can eat or drink. The second group: it's a zebra, but it lost its stripes, draw the stripes to separate the words. The third group must finish the text you have on your table (завдання 2-4). For work – 2 minutes.

VI. Physical pause.

T: OK, kids. Well done. Let's go to the cafe. Stand up and go, sing our song (діти співають пісню "Say Hello" з рухами). [20min.]

VII. Presenting the target structure would like.

Т: Thank you, sit down. We are in the cafe and you can order something for eating and drinking. But at first we must learn some phrases to be able to do it.Фрази, які ми зараз будемо вивчати, використовуються в англійській мові у повсякденному житті, наприклад в кафе, в магазинах, у місцях, де ви хотіли би щось купити та при цьому зробити це ввічливо. Look at the blackboard:

I would like. – Дайте, будь ласка.

What would you like? –Що бажаєте?

Here you are. – Ось, будь ласка(коли вам подають щось).

Фрази фонетично відпрацьовуються.

Т: Children, you have dialogues on your tables. They help you to do your orders. Read and translate the dialogues (завдання 5).

По ходу роботи з діалогом вчитель звертає увагу на нові фрази.

VIII. Role - play.

T: And let's play. I am a waiter. You are friends. You want to order something to eat and to drink. Now discuss it in your groups and then I take your orders.

Вчитель швидко вдягає фартух і перетворюється на офіціанта.

T (as a waiter): Good afternoon, children. Glad to meet you. Here's the menu, please (учитель пропонує меню, завдання 6). You can discuss what you want.

Серед дітей йде обговорення на англійській мові(на основі діалогу). Потім вчитель підходе до дітей і за допомогою фрази What would you like приймає закази та віддає аркуш з заказами помічнику, який готує їх. У цей час вчитель проводе наступну гру:

T: Children, wait some minutes, please and I offer to play a game. You have a set of words on your tables. Which of these products do people eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner? (У кожної групи однаковий набір слів, завдання 7). The first group takes breakfast, the second – lunch, the third – dinner. For task I give you two minutes.

Thank you very much. Oh, kids, your orders. Учитель підходе до кожної групи і, коментує замовлення та віддає їх дітям: f.e. Your two glasses of orange juice, four ice-creams ... Etc.

IX. Reflection.

Т: In our cafe visitors usually give a tip. Now everyone can leave a tip for me. But today a tip isn't money, it's an apple you have on your tables. You give me a red apple or a green apple or a brown one (значення написані на дошці, яблука різних кольорів лежать на парті у кожної групи, завдання 8). Put an apple on the plate (на столі стоїть тарілка, учні виходять і кладуть своє яблуко).

Т: Now we can see the result of our lesson. We have so many red apples, that's why I can say we have spent our time usefully. Thank you for your work. Bon appetite. Your task for the next lesson will be – ex.5 p.69 (закінчити речення за допомогою слів- високий, достатній рівень);ex. 4 p.69 ( читання тексту- середній рівень).
